The following pages are a project of the genealogical group "Lost Ancestors". All pictures have been taken and transcribed by members of Lost Ancestors.
This project is another resource for finding ancestors, especially more recent ones, to complement our LA collections on "War Memorials", "Churches & Cemeteries", etc. These plaques, commemorating peoples' dearly departed, may be found on seats in parks and gardens, seaside promenades, beauty spots and similar places. Some, too, can be seen on buildings in town and city centres commemorating famous or well-known people. Those of most useful interest should include name, date(s) and place on the inscription.
