Gefreiter August Friedrich Gustav Sebastian

was born in the village of Bansleben on 18 November 1893.
His parents were August Heinrich Karl Sebastian and Karoline Emma Stapel.
He joined the local secondary school from 1899 to 1908 and worked at an apprenticeship at the shoemaker Wilhelm Feldkamp in Schöppenstedt from May 1908 to May 1912. He became a soldier on 29 December 1914.
He was transfered to the 1. Machine Gun Company of the Infantry Regiment 95 in Erfurt after he served his duty in different other regiments.
August Sebastian died in the Casulty Clearing Station No. 84 on 24 March 1917. His death was caused by shoots in his head and body. He is buried in a military cemetery at Cambrai, France.
