The "Long Eaton Website Extra" reported following on 13 January 2013:

Hamilton Road Memorial Plaque Rededicated

Seventeen residents from one street in Long Eaton who fell in WWI have been remembered during the Rededication of a Plaque bearing their names. For such a small street, Hamilton Road had more that its share of grief during the 1914 - 1918 War. Seventeen of it's residents, including a father and son never returned. A plaque was erected on one of the houses to commemorate this sacrifice. Long Eaton Branch of the Royal British Legion undertook to restore the Plaque to its former glory so those named will not be forgotten.

Their name liveth for
evermore
