Newspaper Report - Henry Bales Henry Bales, 86, dies Tuesday

Henry C. Bales of Gosport, R. R. 1, died Tuesday evening in the Gorport Nursing Home after four years poorhealth.
He was born in Morgan County Sept. 14, 1869, the son of James and Julia Farr Bales. His wife, whom he married in 1890, is deceased. Two sons, one daughter, six grandchildren survive him.
The sons are Charles Bales of Gosport and James Bales of Nebraska while the daughter is Mrs. Ross Marlin.
Mr. Bales had spent his entire life in the Paragon-Gosport community and was a farmer by occupation. He was a member of the Whitaker Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held at the New Salem Church Friday morning at 10:30 with burial in the New Salem Cemetery. The Rev. Belmar Harris and the Rev. Virgil Baugh will have charge of the service.
Friends may call at any time at the Whitaker Funeral Home in Gosport.
