London, Aug. 21 - William Hodge Coats, chairman of J. and P. Coats, famous thread manufacturers, died today. He was the only surviving son of the late Archibald Coats, first chairman of the company.

Coats, Ltd., Paisley, residing at Ferguslie Park there, Executors. Will dated 14 April 1919 recorded with other Writs Paisley 10 October 1928. Value of Estate, £1,295,190: 19: -.
