Child burned to death
Coroner Maynard held an inquest at the Infirmary, Sunderland, to-day, on the body of a child named Andrew Cooney, 18 months old. The evidence showed that the child was left in a house in back Sans Street, while the mother went out to get some meat for the dinner. On her return she found the child's clothes burnt from its back and the little one sadly injured. It died in the infirmary yesterday. A verdict of death from accidental burns was returned.


The birth of Andrew Cooney was registered during the first quarter of 1897. His death in June 1898. The place of register was Sunderland, Durham, England.
