Henderson Gibson was born during the 2nd quarter of 1863 in Earsdon, Northumberland, England and died in Monkseaton, Northumberland, England on 19 August 1933. His parents were Henderson and Mary Ann Gibson, nee Willis. He was married to Mary Helen Grundy in 1888.

Mary Helen Grundy was born in Wallsend, Northumberland, England in 1864 and died in East Holywell, Northumberland, England on 28 May 1898.

Two children are mentioned in the 1901 census: George Henderson Gibson, born abt. 1893, and Evelyn Gibson, born abt. 1896.
In the 1911 census is only John Foster Gibson mentioned. He was born abt. 1903. The mother of all three children was Annie Gibson.
