Alexander Gillies, born 26 May 1907 in Sheffield, Yorkshire West Riding, England, resided with his parents Alexander and Miriam Gillies in Sheffield in 1939. He travelled on board the ship "Accrington" from Hamburg, Germany to Sheffield on 15 September 1930. He was a student at that time. He has flown from London to New York on 08 September 1946. His target was the Havard Univerity in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He planned to stay there for one year. He was an university professor. His last residence was Gates House, Ripley Road, Knaresborough, Yorkshire, England. With him was his wife Camilla Hill Gillies. The death of Alexander Gillies was registered in Claro, North Yorkshire, England during the fourth quarter of 1977.
