Trefecca Fawr: Gentry house of c1650, built by Rebecca Prosser, with later additions. Owned by Thomas Harris of Tregunter, brother of Howel Harris, in late C18, and later by the Gwynne family.

David Rowland Howe Gwynne was born on 10 January 1899 and was baptised in the church of All Saints in Leamington Priors, Warwickshire, England, on 05 April 1899. His parents were Roderick Edmund Gwynne and Edith Hariet Maxwell Gwynne. He was married to Madge Birnie in the church of the Holy Trinity in the Prince Consort Road, London, Westminster, England, on 20 June 1924. His death was registered in Abergavenny, Monmouthshire during the second quarter of 1958.

Madge Gwynne, nee Birnie, was born on 26 September 1898. Her father was Cyril Montague Birnie. She lived with Joan A. Southby and Muriel A. S. Balston at The Down House, Weyhill, Andover, Hampshire, England, in 1939. Her death was registered in Hay, Brecknockshire, during the second quarter of 1974.
