Patrick Hardy was born abt. 1782 in Bridlington, Yorkshire, England. He was married to Mary Waddington in Leeds, Yorkshire, England on 15 February 1827. His parents were Josiah and Ann Hardy. He died in Barnard Castle on 24 October 1862.

Mary Ann Waddington was born on 18 November 1795 and was baptised in the church of St. Peter in Leeds, Yorkshire, England on 25 December 1795. Her parents were Thomas and Elizabeth Waddington. She was married to Patrick Hardy in Leeds, Yorkshire, England on 15 February 1827. She died in Barnard Castle on 11 January 1866.
