The England census of 1911 mentions a Walter Hubert Hind who was a visitor in the household of Margaret Warren at 12, Riversdale Terrace, Sunderland, Durham, England. He was born abt. 1891 in Horsforth, Yorkshire, England. He was a single and an engineer apprentice.

Walter Hubert Hind was born on 19 July 1890 in Leeds, Yorkshire, England. His parents were Benjamin and Matha Hind, nee Smith. He was baptised in the church of St. Matthias in Burley, Yorkshire, England on 09 September 1890. He resided at 27, Abingdon Street in Sunderland, Durham, England in 1901 and was an marine engineer apprentice in Sunderland, Durham, England in 1911. He was married to Eileen Erina Tasker in the church of St. Leonard in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia in 1915. During the First World War he did his military service in the Australian Army. He resided at 32, Hannan Street in Maroubra North, New South Wales. Australia in 1958. He died in 1960 and was buried in the Eastern Suburbs Memorial Park in Matraville, Randwick City, New South Wales, Australia on 01 August 1960.

The death of a Walter H. Hind, born abt. 1882, was registered in Holderness, Yorkshire East Riding, England during the second quarter of 1949.
