Jean Alice Hudson
My paternal grandmother was Jean Alice Hudson. Her first marriage to Joseph Mesner Smith was on 11th Sept. 1906 at St Mary Magdalene, Peckham, London. Joseph was killed in WW1 they had one child Hilda Doris Smith.

Her second marriage, to George Thomas Budgen (known as Thomas) was on 21st March 1925 at Greenwich Registry Office. They had one child Thomas Charles Budgen (my father) and lived in Brighton. Jean was widowed again in 1940 and died 2nd Dec. 1951 recorded age 70.

Jean Alice father's name was William Hudson, and was recorded as deceased on her marriage certificates.

Her parents were William and Anne J. Hudson. She was married to Joseph Mesner Smith in the parish of St. Mary Magdalene in Peckham, London, England on 11 September 1906. Her husband was fallen during WW I on 03 May 1917. She was married to George Thomas Budgen in Greenwich, London, England on 21 March 1925. She resided with her husband and son Thomas Budgen at 4, Southall Avenue in Brighton, Sussex, England in 1939. Her death was registered in Brighton, Sussex, England during the fourth quarter of 1951.
