Christopher Hunton was born in Stockton-on-Tees, Durham, England on 21 June 1798. His parents were Emanuel and Jane Hunton, nee Gatenby. He was married to Margaret Nicholson in Stockton-on-Tees, Durham, England on 03 April 1820. He died in Stockton-on-Tees, Durham, England on 23 February 1865 and was burid on 27 February 1865.
