At Grangehill Cottage, near Beith, by the Rev. Andrew Browne, Minister of Beith, Mr. Samuel Kerr, Fullwoodhead, to Ann McGill, formerly in Pitcon, Dalry.

Samuel Kerr was probably born and baptised in Ardrossan, Ayrshire, Scotland on 11 August 1929. The mentioned mother was Maria Stuart. He was married to Ann McGill in Beith, Ayrshire, Scotland on 06 December 1859. His parents were John and Jean Kerr.

Kerr, Samuel, Ironmonger and Bookseller, Cross, Beith, died 14 June 1906, at Beith aforesaid, testate.
Confirmation granted at Kilmarnock, 22 July, to Samuel Kerr and Alexander Crawford Kerr, both Ironmongers and Stationers, Cross aforesaid, his sons, Rev. Innes Grant Sutherland, M. A., Minister of Beith, Matthew Gilmour, Banker there, and Alexander Gilmour Love, Solicitor there, Executors nominated in Will or Deed, dated 13 April 1905, and recorded in Court Books of Commissariot of Ayr, 15 July 1907. Value of Estate, £141 4s. 10d.

Ann McGill was born in Dalry, Ayrshire, Scotland on 07 September 1833 and baptised on 29 September 1833. Her parents were William and Ann McGill, nee Kirkwood.
