The Hull Daily Mail wrote on 15 December 1933:
. . . Some prominent public figures offered huge rewards for the retrieval of a (living, breathing) Loch Ness monster, including London-based circus owner Bertram Mills who put up a then-enormous £20,000 . . .


Bertram Mills was born in London, City of London, Greater London, England 0n 11 August 1873 and died at Pollards Wood, Chalfont St. Giles, Buckinghamshire, England on 16 April 1938. He was married to Ethel Kate Notley in Suffolk, England on 23 March 1901.

Alexander Mills
Alexander Mills (sometimes seems to be recorded as Mill) who was born in Scotland
in 1805. He appears to have moved to England before getting married to a Charlotte Blair
(also born in Scotland apparently) on 23rd September 1828 at Old Church, St Pancras, London.

Alexander Mills was born in Arbroath,Angus, Scotland on 12 March 1805. His parents were Alexander and Christan Mills, nee Haddon. He was married to Charlotte Blair in St. Pancras, Middlesex, England on 23 September 1828.
Following children are known:
Charles Mill (born 31 July 1835), John Mills (born 19 January 1838), David Blair Mill (born 08 February 1840), Malcolm Josephus Mill (born 10 January 1843), Josephus Blair Mills (born 22 March 1845), Agnes Blair Mills (born 22 June 1847).
