The birth (08 February 1905) of Richard Francis Quine was registered in Ecclesall Bierlow, Yorkshire, England during the first quarter of 1905 and was baptised in the Church of St. Andrew in Sharrow, Yorkshire, England on 15 March 1905. His parents were Thomas William Quine and Eliza Hall Quine, nee Kyd. He attended King Edward VII School in Sheffield. Was awarded the school Certificate of the Oxford and Cambridge Schools Examination Board in July 1922 and passed with credits in elementary mathamatics. He left England on 08 November 1922 to live in Australia. He was passenger of the "Euripides" and arrived Sydney on 22 December 1922. He was married to Elsie Violet Rogers (1908-2003) in Blayney, New South Wales on 01 June 1926. The couple resided in Broken Hill North, Darling, New South Wales, Australia (Electoral Roll 1930/31), in Picton, Werriwa, New South Wales, Australia (Electoral Roll 1933-1937) and in Goulburn South, Eden-Monaro, New South Wales, Australia (Electoral Roll 1949-1980). He died on 21 February 1988 and was buried in the Maryborough Crematorium, Queensland, Australia.
