Ian Alastair Ross was born in Muiralehouse, Avoch,Ross and Cromarty, Scotland on 16 February 1907. He was married to Sylvia Johan "Sybil" Mackenzie in the Waverley Hotel in Inverness, Inverness-shire, Scotland on 21 April 1933. Two children of the couple are known: Gertrude Mary (1943-1989), and John George (1935-2001). Ian Alastair Ross died in Perth Burgh, Perthshire, Scotland on 07 April 1952.

Charles Mirlees Ross was married to Catherine Sullivan in Walton-on-the-Hill, Lancashire, England on 16 August 1860. Two sons of the couple are known: Charles Ross (b. 1861), and William Leckie Ross (b. 1864). The parents of Charles Mirlees Ross were William and Mary Ross, nee Mirrlees. He was interred in the Kirkdale Cemetery, Kirkdale, Merseyside, England on 18 April 1902.

He was married to Ellen Grundy in the Church of St. Benedict in Everton, Liverpool, Lancashire, England on 25 December 1888. His death was registered in Liverpool North, Lancashire, England during the fourth quarter of 1950.
