His parents were Edward and Lizzie Skilton, nee Parker. His (Charles Henry) marriage to Ada Emily Dewberry (1884-1933) was registered in Godstone, Surrey, England during the third quarter of 1909. The couple had following children: Margaret Ada (1913-1931), Walter Charles Edward (born 1914), Eileen May (1916-1977), and Kenneth Victor (1918-1980). He was married to Beatrice M. Buck after the death of his first wife. The marriage was registered in Surrey South-Eastern during the fourth quarter of 1934.
