Thomas James Soar was born in Burton upon Trent, Staffordshire, England on 31 August 1866 and was baptised at the same place on 26 September 1866. His parents were William and Annie Soar, nee Turner. He was married to Fredricka Martha Leonora Brunotte in Manhattan, New York City, New York, USA on 25 April 1897. A son of the couple is known: Howard Leonard Soar (1898-1967). Thomas James Soar died in Valhalla, Mount Pleasant, Westchester, New York, USA on 12 June 1939 and was interred in the Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, Sleepy Hollow, Mount Pleasant, Westchester, New York, USA.
