Violet Staddon
Burned after petrol hair-wash

After washing her hair with petrol, Miss Violet Staddon, a bookkeeper at the Golden Cross Hotel, Oxford, went into a room where a gas-jet was burning. The patrol vapour taking fire, Miss Staddon was severely burned. She was taken to hospital.
