War Memorial WW II Statue Inscription

This statue is of a
Gibraltar Defence Force
soldier in summer battle dress.
His guard duty posture is
symbolic of the role
undertaken in defence of the
rock during World War II.

The monument is dedicated to
all Gibraltarians who served
in
The Gibraltar Volunteer Corps
The Gibraltar Defence Force
and
The Gibraltar Regiment.

The plaque was unveiled
by the
Chief Minister
the Hon. Peter Caruana
on the
fourth day of July 1998.
