The graves of a crew of the 405 Royal Canadian Air Force
03 January 1944

The British Air Force carried out a heavy attack on Berlin during the night of 2nd to 3rd of January 1944. Residential neighborhoods in different parts of the city were bombed. The "Battle of Berlin" continued with six nightly major attacks until the end of January.
