Original enlistment Lincoln 25th October 1915, Private, 4738, 4th Battalion, Lincolnshire Regiment, transferred to 30112 Labour Corps and discharged 20 March 1919 'surplus to military requirements' (but with disability caused by 'shrapnel wound to abdomen'). Commemorated Thorpe on the Hill (St Michael and All Angels) Churchyard.
