ON ACTIVE SERVICE
On Friday, Nov. 8, 1946, the result of a road accident in Germany, Capt. Peter A. Borrow, 1st Royal Dragoons, aged 23, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Borrow, Sydenham. A brilliant young life called to Higher Service.

His nickname was 'Dog' Borrow. An historian, he won a state scholarship on receiving outstanding marks in his Higher Schools' Certificate. He was a house prefect and a reasonable quick bowler. His death in Germany was tragic and mundane - run over by one of his own trucks.
