Trewman & Exeter Flying Post, January 18, 1838

January 11, at Hatherleigh, of scarlet fever, Mr Henry Burge, aged 24 years, son of the late Mr Joseph Burge, officer of Excise.
At Lympstone, on Monday morning, Sir Geo. Burgman, knt., after a very short illness, much regretted and esteemed by a large circle of acquaintance.

At 12 Rosa Street, South Shields, on the 25th inst., Robert Burnop, the beloved husband of Isabella Hodge, aged 72 years.
Interred at Harton Cemetery on Saturday at 2.30.

William Butler, a son of Mr Edward Butler, of Newtown, Windsor, died on the 11th instant, and was buried in the R. C. cemetery on the 12th, the Rev. Father McDonnell, officiating. Deceased was 24 years of age, but all his life the unfortunate fellow had been without his reason, and an invalid. He was of diminutive stature, scarcely more than 4 feet high, and though his parents and brothers and sisters mourn for him, their grief is tempered by the knowledge that his death must be a happy release. The funeral was conducted by Mr. Collison.

On Sept. 2, 1944, suddenly, at The Red House, Saltburn-by-the Sea, Earnest Joseph Burnett, M. B. E., J. P., M. B., M. R. C. P., in his 80th year. Funeral service at Saltburn Parish Church at 2.30 p.m. today (Tuesday) prior to interment at Saltburn Cemetery. No flowers.

Washington, Oct. 20 - The War Department made public today the names of 2,818 soldiers killed in action in the European and Mediterranean areas. The following 89 Brooklyn, Queens and Long Island men are included:

Bueffel, Staff Sgt., Alfred - Mrs. Clara Bueffel, mother, 12 Abrams Place, Lynbrook.

Alfred Bueffel's mother was Clara Bueffel (1901-1988). He fought with the 600 Bomb. Squadron, 300 Bomb. Group and felt on 12 August 1944. He is interred together with his comrades in the Arlington National Cemetery.

Family - Albert Buchhorn

Albert August Buchhorn was born in Langendorf, Eastprussia (today Dluga, Poland) on 16 September 1886 and was the son of Wilhelm Buchhorn and Johanna Goldenberg. He moved with his parents to Schöppenstedt against end of the 19. century and married Emma Elisabeth Müller in Braunschweig on 11 June 1911. Her only child, Irmgard Hedwig Elisabeth, was born on 08 Oktober 1911. Irmgard died only a few days before her 100th birthday in 2011.
Albert Buchhorn died on 05 October 1954. His dead was caused by throat cancer.

Irmgard Lisbeth Buchhorn Horrocks, 83, passed quietly from this life on Thursday, September 4, 2003.
Irma was born on March 21, 1920, in Koenigsberg, East Prussia, Germany to Fritz Albert Buchhorn and Martha Anna Schirmacher. She and her parents immigrated to the United States in 1925. When she was 17 her family moved to Salt Lake City where she met her eternal companion, Richard J. Horrocks. They were married in the Salt Lake Temple on June 26, 1942.
Mom was active in the LDS Church all her life serving in many capacities and callings. Her favorite service came in March of 1986 when she and Dad were called to the Germany Munich Mission. This mission was the highlight of her life and was, and will be, the source of happiness and wonderful memories forever. Mom loved reading, gardening, and above all, her family. Mom is survived by her children: Richard (Sara) Horrocks, Caroline (Michael) Eldredge, Irene (Don) Sontchi, Michele (Randy) Hart and daughter-in-law, Katherine Horrocks; 28 grandchildren and 17 great- grandchildren with two more on the way! Mom was preceded in death by her loving husband, her parents, and three sons, Keith, Mark and Robert.

Funeral services will be held Monday, September 8, 2003, 11:00 a.m. at the Union 11th Ward, 1433 E. Old Mission Road. Friends and family may call Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East 10600 South, and at the ward Monday one hour prior to services. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery, 4th Avenue & N Street. Funeral directors, Larkin Mortuary.
