89 Boro, L. I. Soldiers are killed in Action.
Washington, Oct. 20 - The War Department made public today the names of 2,818 soldiers killed in action in the European and Mediterranean areas. The following 89 Brooklyn, Queens and Long Island men are included:

Nizki, Pfc., Edward T. - Mrs. Emily Nizki, mother, 433 Van Sicklen Avenue.

Edward T Niski was born on 13. January 1919 in Bethlehem, Northampton, Pennsylvania. His parents were Makary Max and Emily Niski, nee Holowicz. He served with the 9th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division and was fallen on 03 August 1944 in France. He was interred in the Brittany American Cemetery, France. He awarded the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star.
