89 Boro, L. I. Soldiers are killed in Action.
Washington, Oct. 20 - The War Department made public today the names of 2,818 soldiers killed in action in the European and Mediterranean areas. The following 89 Brooklyn, Queens and Long Island men are included:

Kaiser, Staff Sgt., Robert E. - Mrs. Josephine E. Kaiser, mother, 326 Eldert St.
Karpinski, Corp., Louis - Mrs. Grace M. Karpinski, wife, 12-68 130th St., Whitestone.

Robert E. Kaiser was born on 06 November 1921 in Brooklyn, New York. His mother was Josephine E. Kaiser. He entered the Army on 28 August 1942 and served with the 763rd Bombing Squadron. He was fallen on 12 August 1944 in France. He was interred in the the Evergreens Cemetery, Brooklyn, New York.

Louis Karpinski was born on 29 December 1915 and was married with Grace M. Karpinski. He served with the 746th Tank Battalion and was fallen on 24 July 1944 in France. He was interred in the the Long Island National Cemetery, Suffolk, New York on 18 August 1949.
