89 Boro, L. I. Soldiers are killed in Action.
Washington, Oct. 20 - The War Department made public today the names of 2,818 soldiers killed in action in the European and Mediterranean areas. The following 89 Brooklyn, Queens and Long Island men are included:

Geiler, Corp., Kenneth E. - Mrs. Dorothy L. Geiler, wife, 91-01 215th Place, Queens Village.

Kenneth E. Geiler was born about 1915 in Brooklyn, New York. His parents were William and Elizabeth Geiler. He was married with Dorothy L. Geiler. He served with the 505th Parachute Infantry Regt, 82nd Airborne Division and felt on 24 June 1944 in France. He was interred in the Normandy American Cemetery, France. He awarded the Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Cluster.
