89 Boro, L. I. Soldiers are killed in Action.
Washington, Oct. 20 - The War Department made public today the names of 2,818 soldiers killed in action in the European and Mediterranean areas. The following 89 Brooklyn, Queens and Long Island men are included:

Schreier, Pfc., William A. - Mrs. Gloria Schreier, wife, 27 McClure St., Elmont.
Sclafani, Corp., Sal - Antonio Sclafani, father, 584 Linwood St.

William A. Schreier was born on 18 November 1918 in Brooklyn, New York. His father was William F. Schreier and his wife Gloria Schreier. He served with the 362nd Infantry Regiment, 91st Infantry Division and was fallen on 01 August 1944 in Italy. He was interred in the Florence American Cemetery, Italy. He awarded the Purple Heart.

Sal Sclafani was born on 01 September 1914 in New York. His parents were Anthony and Anna Sclafani. He was fallen on 03 August 1944 and was interred in the Cypress Hills National Cemetery, New York, on 28 October 1948.
