William Campbell Adamson Adamson
In loving admiration of my husband, Captain William Campbell Adamson, R. F. C., and Campbell's father, killed by anti-aircraft after shooting down three enemy machines near Sanctuary Wood, Sept. 5, 1915, after 11 months' active service.

William Campbell Adamson was born in Careston, Angus, Scotland on 05 November 1886. His parents were William Shaw Adamson (1851-1936) and Nora Jane Campbell (1858-1932). He married Margaret Stancomb Adamson in Hilperton, Wiltshire, England on 28 August 1913. He fought with the 6th Squadron Royal Flying Corps and was fallen on 05 September 1915. The internment took place in the Harlebeke New Britisch Cemetery in Belgium.
